Whistle while you work...

Throw open the doors, put on the music,
fill a bucket with hot water and Eucalyptus oil,
grab a pair of gloves, light some incense and...

... whistle while you work...

... clean out the old flowers ...

... but save a few blooms if you can...

... sweep, and wash, polish and dust ...

... change things around, marvel at your home,
feel the sacred and immerse in the gratitude...

... soak up the sun and smile at the pooch
(ALWAYS ready to play ball)...

... Now reward yourself with a cuppa,
a book and a comfortable
spot in the warmth of the sunshine...

Is there a better way to spend a day?

Ok I'm sure there is...

... Indeed for many this
would be a bit of nightmare.

However I've found that playing house
and being grown up affords me so
many luxuries ... the least of
which is the ability to truly
LOVE my home.

Yes.
It was good day

Hello:
Although we should not care for all that dusting and polishing, we really enjoy days spent at home and time spent listening to music and/or reading a favourite book is, in our view, time well spent.

The warm autumnal weather continues here and this week promises to be sunny each day. Perfect September weather.

Hi Snow White, perfect weather for it. Nothing like making your home all clean and shiny and pretty. I too love pottering about in our house, changing things around, and rediscovering forgotten treasures. Ours looks like a tip at the moment we've been flat out patching, sanding, painting etc. I can't wait to set it to rights and get rid of all that dust - which is EVERYWHERE! x

I love to spend a day like this and feel so good afterwards when everything is sparkly ... just doesn't happen very often in our house! M x

There must be something in the warm spring sunshine, the feeling of coming awake again after a long grey winter. This is exactly how I spent the afternoon yesterday! Gave the laundry a thorough clean and it was just so nice to go in there this morning to put a fresh load of washing on. It may be a chore, but it's immensely satisfying as well! Your comfortable spot in the sunshine looks very inviting!
